Mother's Day Pancakes

Our thanks to Ryan from Victoria for submitting this recipe that he and his 5 year old son created for a special Mother’s Day breakfast, using her favourite foods of chocolate and orange.

  • 250 mL (1 cup) flour
  • 30 mL (2 tsp) baking powder
  • 250 mL (1 cup) Island Farms chocolate milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 orange

Sift the flour and baking powder into large bowl. Add 5 mL (1 tsp) of orange rind. Poke a hole in the orange and squeeze about 10 mL (2 tsp) of juice into the bowl. Add the egg and chocolate milk and stir until smooth. Cook the pancakes as usual and add your favourite toppings.
