Pick Pockets

Makes about 2 dozen pockets. Freezes well.

Pastry Ingredients:

250g Island Farms cream cheese
1 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup Island Farms butter

Filling Ingredients:

1 184g canned flaked ham
1 small minced onion
1 cup of petite frozen peas
1 egg yolk

Topping Ingredients:

1 beaten egg white
sesame seeds

Preparation:

  1. Blend all dough ingredients in a mixer, form into a ball and chill for 1 hour.
  2. Mix filling ingredients.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into 3" circles.
  4. Fill with 1 tbsp of filling, fold and seal with egg white.
  5. Pierce top in 2 or 3 places, brush with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake on a cookie sheet in 400° F oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
